!!Heh heh, no snowboarding today. Instead, we all decided to take advantage of our lovely back yard and played in/with the snow. Some folks are out having a snowball fight, while me and some others decided to build stuff. I was feeling a little inspired when I saw a whole mound of snow sitting on one of the tables out back. It all started with a single layer big cake, but then someone came along and suggested that I add layers. So, I did just that. I ended up with a 3 layer snow-cake. It’s kinda cool, and was really fun to make.

I still have yet to make a snowman… so far, I’ve made a snow turtle, and a 3 layer cake. heh heh, sometimes I like to be different.

Tonight is new year’s celebration. I guess we’ll be partying out in the streets of South Tahoe.

Have a safe new year’s and happy 2002!!

Heh, here I go again with the blogging… no really, I’m having a nice time here in Tahoe. I just can’t resist the temptation to get online. Guess I just can’t get away. I suppose I’m just chilling out now in the cabin feeling all relaxed after going into the hot tub. Ahhh, relaxing my muscles.

So I hit the tables today at Caesar’s… not too shabby for me on the Paigow table. *grin*

Well, I temporarily did a slight fix on my bindings. I should be able to safely board on Tuesday… I think. I just switched out the washer thing from my front foot with the one on my back foot since I hardly ever get out of my front binding. That way, there’s less chance of my binding coming loose. This is merely temporary though, so I guess I’ll have to hunt down a washer thingy when I get back home.

Oh well, hope you all have a happy and safe new years!

Wow, pretty fun day of boarding yesterday although the weather wasn’t all that great. It was pretty darn cold. Brr… it rained, snowed, and fogged on us, which made the visibility pretty yuck. I started off a little slow, but towards the end of the day, things were better. I must say that Squaw Valley is a pretty neato place although it was really crowded.

I basically boarded leisurely all day, taking the blues only. My friends told me that if I’m not super sore & tired, then I didn’t push myself hard enough. heehee. But I really enjoyed the runs that I went on, even though there were some flatter parts. All I can say is that the “easiest route” can sometimes be tough. I split off with some of my friends because they wanted to get off the blues and head towards the blacks. I was fine with that because I wasn’t feeling up to being totall sore today.

Yuck, and at the end of the day, I noticed that one of the nuts for the binding straps had fallen off. Doh. Let me just say that it is a good thing to tighten the nuts & bolts on your bindings every so often. Heh, guess it serves me right. Hopefully I can find the appropriate parts to get them back to normal.

So this morning, we were cooking ourselves some breakfast and we stumbled upon our box of spiced apple cider that someone had brought up. Well, my friend E decided to try to make a toast-size version of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Heh, so he popped some toast into the toaster oven, put some butter on, and pour some of the instant spiced apple cider mix onto it. Well, a couple of people liked it, strangely enough. I thought it was pretty gross, but in SMALL DOSES only, the cider mix tastes kinda good.

So one thing led to another and IN JEST ONLY, I dared J to eat a packet for fun. Well, he said no initially, but someone else said she’d give J a dollar if he ate a packet and not drink any water for 15 minutes. When there’s money involved, anything is possible. So J prepared himself, took down the packet and looked like he was going to be kinda sick. He couldn’t swallow the mix for a little while. After all the mix was gone, the clock started ticking. I would say that after about 10 minutes, he gave up and challenged E to take the challenge. E would have to eat 3 packets.

One thing led to another, and E ended up eating 6 PACKS of cider mix for 5 bucks. It was pretty funny to watch that. We were sure to take a lot of pictures as well as video footage on J’s digital camera. Hahah, boys can be so silly sometimes. I guess when you’re on vacation, and money is involved, anything can happen.

We’ll probably hit the casinos today and whatever else. Let the fun times roll.

Woah, this is way cool… I’m in our neato cabin/house right now in Tahoe. Heh, luckily, one of my friends brought a laptop. Heehee… I won’t write too much since I’m supposed to be getting away from home for a little while. Heh, no computers, no internet, no email! But I just couldn’t resist.

I’m definitely looking forward to boarding tomorrow, but I hope it doesn’t rain like it did today on my friends. Yay, boarding baby!!

Tonight, the plan is some dinner to celebrate a friend’s bday, and maybe some action at the tables.

Almost done with December. Woah, it’s been quite a month for me. I think this little trip will be good for me to sort things out and clear my head. I’m hoping that I’ll be refreshed by the time I’m back home. Then, I’ll be able to tackle everything that comes my way instead of feeling overwhelmed. Yes, I am feeling a little overwhelmed simply because I don’t know where my life is going exactly right now.

I feel like I’m approaching a new chapter in my life. We’ll see what is in store for me.

Well, if I’m not being nerdy before I get back, happy new year to everyone! Hope your 2002 is great and hope you come up with some great resolutions.

So I got another letter from Olympus saying the same thing. This time, it’s dated 1 week later. Heh, guess they’re “still working on it.”
