Wow, one really great way of catching up on your dvds is to buy a portable dvd player and watch movies on the train. Hehe.. There’s this one guy that I spotted the other day watching a dvd on the train. Dangit, it was so cool. Let’s see, If ride the train for about 30 minutes each way, for 5 days a week. That’s a total of 5 hours of dvd watching time. I could watch on average 2 movies a week. Neato… too bad that stuff probably costs a lot. heh.

Woohoo! I got the results of my blood test back recently. I’ve got a clean bill of health. Reading the cholesterol numbers is kinda confusing. I mean, how much HDL or LDL whatevers is good? And I’m sure that as you get older, you will have higher cholesterol numbers and such. Heh, luckily, my doctor wrote on the sheet the word, “Excellent!” in that section. Heh, I liked the human touch.

Whew, today was one of those rough days at work, but alas, I have survived. Hooray! Tonight, I’ll be lashing out on those softballs. I’d say it’s a good way to vent.

What happened to our sunny weather?

It’s so nice when your friends who are totally far away randomly call you up. Heh. Thanks waffle from down under! I be sure to let you know what costco sized cereal package is purchased. *wink*

Sometimes I wonder about the timing that guys think up when they swoop in on a girl. One of my friends was telling me about how he went about figuring out the when would be the best time for him to swoop. He liked this one girl and had they had been getting to know each other.

He knew he wanted to start dating her, but I suppose he didn’t know exactly when would be the right time. Then he knew that she was attending a wedding over a weekend without a guest. I suppose whenever people go to weddings, if they’re single, then they’ll kinda sigh and wonder when it’ll be their turn. If they’re married, they people will reminisce about their wedding. Makes sense right?

Well, when he realized that she was going to the wedding alone, she’d be kinda emoitional-ly and in that “I wonder/hope that’ll be me someday” mood. So he took the opportunity in her vulnerable phase and swooped. He ended up getting the girl and they are incredibly happy together. Yay. A happy ending.

What’s the moral of the story you ask? Timing is everything.

Whew, what a full weekend. Fun, tiring, and trying.

So it’s one thing to have sore muscles when you play a sport. It’s another thing if you worked out. The strangest thing is though, I got really sore muscles the day after I went go kart racing. Yeah…. driving lawnmowers on wheels. Can you believe it?

My forearms were sort from my performing a 25-minute death grip on the steering wheel, which I couldn’t reach very well. My calves were sore from stretching so much to step on the brake and gas pedals which were just barely within my reach.

After about halfway through the race, I was pretty ready for the race to end. It was definitely fun, but my oh my, I have a new respect for those Nascar guys. Geez, I was exhausted after 25 minutes of driving. How on earth do they go on for hours and hours? Props to them.

I hadn’t gone climbing a couple of weeks now, but I tonight I decided to haul myself to the gym. Alhough I wasn’t sure if I could still have maintained the same level, after much struggling, I managed top off my evening with a good climb. 4 climbs total: 5.7, 5.9, 10b, 10c. Woohoo!

Another week has flown by yet again. Where does all the time go? I suppose since I constantly have stuff to look forward to, it makes the days go by. Of course, I don’t forget to savor the moment. It’s not necessarily all about what’s going to happen tomorrow, but instead, it’s about living life today!

Yuck. My hands are all dry from chalk. Time for some lotion therapy.

Sometimes just having some quiet time is refreshing among all the hustle and bustle of daily life. This evening I spent 2.5 glorious hours plopped in front of the tv watching nothing particularly interesting. I just enjoyed sitting there and not really having to move much. Some would say it’s a waste of time, but is it really wasteful to recharge oneself? I say not!

I recently heard the most interesting description of my personality: a combination of innocence and cynicism. How interesting. Those two things don’t go together do they?

Nothing beats a nice long conversation with someone you haven’t spoken with in a while. *smiles* One really good friend of mine has been up in Seattle for the past 9 weeks and I haven’t spoken with her since our long drive up. Yeah, I’m a bad friend. Hehe, but we’ve emailed a bit here and there.

On my drive back from vball, I decided to call her up and catch up on each other’s life. We ended up chatting for over and hour rambling on about her experience up there and my life back here.

Just about time to head off to sleep. I think I’ll sneak in a few pages of Harry Potter. Yeah, I haven’t finished the book yet since I only read during my commute, and sometimes, I choose to nap instead. Hehe.

Woah, the oddest thing I saw the other day at an Albertson’s parking lot was a space that said “Parking For Expectant Mothers.” Wow! It was the first space in the aisle, similar to Handicap spaces. I suppose lots of pregnant women complained about not being able to park closer, and their solution was to dedicate a space for them. The thing is, when I was at the parking lot, there was a 7-up truck parked there. I doubt a pregnant woman was driving it.

I had a fun day in the sun yesterday playing in AACO’s 8th Annual Sports Day for Charity. The weather was nice, and thankfully, not too hot. Although my team got knocked out of the 1st round of playoffs, we played our hearts out and had loads of laughs. Hooray for having fun!

It’s weird to play vball on Saturdays because usually I play on Sunday and then the next day, I have to haul myself out of bed to get to work. Today though, I got to sleep in and get up at my leisure. Weekends are so cool.

Woah neato. I was walking to the office this morning and saw some guy on a Segway. Neat. It moves a lot faster than I thought it would. I guess that guy was taking it at a higher speed than I had seen in the news reports and whatnot. I can see it now… 10 years from now, the sidewalks will be expanded to accommodate these Segways. Dedicated Segway lanes will be painted along the sidewalks.

It’ll kinda be like on the highway too, because the pedestrian lane will be the “slow” lane, and the Segway lane will be the “fast” lane. Oh wait, there’s no such thing as a dedicated “fast” lane on the highway because we’re all supposed to drive at the posted speed limits. *angel face*

Happy Friday to you all. I can’t wait to finish the day!
